It’s not easy to be simple when you’re starting out

One of my daughter's friends wants to set up her own start-up but doesn't know where to start. Having had to close one of my ventures in the past, here are the lessons I'm passing on to her:

1. START SMALL: take the time to clarify your ideas, your market and your solutions for a small group of customers without making large investments.
2. CLEARLY IDENTIFY WHO YOUR CUSTOMER IS: write down exactly who they are, where they live, what their habits are and, above all, what suffering or difficulties they have that you are going to address in order to make their life more pleasant.
3. CREATE SYNERGIES WITH PARTNERS WHO SHARE YOUR VISION AND VALUES: if you are alone in your market, then there is no market! So find the ones that are already there and see how you can complement them.
4. USE TECHNOLOGICAL TOOLS: write up your project using a tool like EOS (Entrepreneur Operating Systems) or Align, choose a flexible e-commerce platform like Shopify or WooCommerce, integrate AI solutions specific to your project and make sure that the platform can evolve quickly according to customer feedback and market developments.
5. ESTABLISH A PERSONALISED DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY: give yourself time to communicate actively with your first customers; use social networks to build a committed community around your brand; share true and captivating stories about your customers' experiences, your own, the products, the producers, and the positive impact they have on the world.

By following these recommendations, I'm convinced she'll be able to turn her idea into a thriving business, aligned with her values and capable of making a real difference in the marketplace. It's not just about launching a product, it's about creating an abundant and sustainable ecosystem that will benefit everyone involved.
